Therapy, when done right, is one of the most efficient ways to transform, grow, heal, and realize our potential. The therapeutic relationship is unique in its ability to transform profoundly and to deeply explore who we are without fear of judgement, guilt, or shame. Therapy allows us to honestly explore our deepest hopes and fears in a sacred space of confidentiality and safety with experienced feedback which transforms us into who we are meant to be.

Dr. Johnston-Jones works frequently with celebrity clients and clients who have achieved traditional success as well as non-celebrities (who become celebrities to her). All clients who visit with her are assured the highest discretion and confidentiality. She believes that each one of us can benefit from therapy with a trusted professional as we all have inner conflicts to overcome, regardless of how successful we are. Dr. Johnston-Jones' approach in therapy is a holistic one, integrating relationship-based psychology, neuroscience, mindfulness, physical health, and life purpose, where all aspects of your emotional health are equally considered. She works in a collaborative, open and empathic manner.

Dr.
Johnston-Jones has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, as well as an M.A. and a B.A. in psychology. She received her education in psychology from the University of Oregon, UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute, Harbor UCLA Medical Center, the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles and the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant University. She is a licensed psychologist (#19654) in California. Her areas of special training and expertise include parents, neuropsychology, couples, entrepreneurs and executives, women's issues as well as the psychology of children. During the course of her education she received training in several types of Psychological Treatment including the psychology of happiness, relationship therapy, psychodynamic therapy, hypnosis, play therapy, multicultural therapy and child assessment. She completed an American Psychological Association accredited internship as well as graduate training. She has over 4000 hours of supervised clinical training in addition to more than a decade of seeing clients in private practice. She regularly attends continuing education conferences and workshops for psychologists.
